Badges for next year’s Otakon will go on sale very soon.

Announced yesterday, badges for the anime convention will go on sale to the general public tomorrow (November 25) at 10 a.m. EST. To shake things up, the first 1,000 weekend adult badges purchased will only cost $70. All badges purchased before May 15 will include free badge mailing. The hotel block for Otakon 2023 is live right now.

Otakon 2023 will take place from July 28 through July 30 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C. This year’s event drew a record 40,000 attendees.

Otakon 2022 Con Chair Brian Cutler said this about the new record:

“This year we saw an amazing increase in attendance. Our membership jump was the largest increase in the last 20 years. Our all-volunteer organization really tries to keep things fresh at the event, and we have been working on events that came to fruition this year following several years of planning. We hope to continue this trend with new and exciting events in the years to come, but really want to thank our attendees for their patience and support this year as we continue to grow.”
