Next year’s New York Game Awards officially has a date for its ceremony.

The event will take place on Tuesday, January 16 at Manhattan’s SVA Theatre. Ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the Playing with Purpose writing programs for next year, which support students and interns at places such as Bronxworks Shelter, Mott Hall 3 Middle School, TAPCo, and Andries Huddle Middle School. Playing with Purpose gives internship opportunities for students looking to get in the games industry.

Harold Goldberg, executive director and founder of NYVGCC said this about next year’s event:

“We’re thrilled to be returning to the SVA Theatre to celebrate the 13th annual New York Game Awards and honor the best games of the past year as well as recognize the creators, developers, and media who make our industry stand out. The work that goes into our spunky awards show is no small feat since our organization handles every aspect of the show. Thanks to the continued support of our event, we’re able to expand our Playing with Purpose program to reach more unhoused and underserved youth in New York City.”

Reggie Fils-Aimé, board member, NYVGCC also said:

“I can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the 2024 New York Game Awards. From hosting the awards show to mentoring the amazing youth, being a part of NYVGCC has been such a fulfilling experience. Tickets for next year’s event are on sale to the general public here. The ceremony will air live on the New York Videogame Critics Circle’s YouTube and Twitch channels starting at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.
