After a slew of EDM collaborations, New Jersey electronic pop artist Jex released their debut solo single “2AM” on Friday.

The track, which can be heard below, is their first release for Eddie O Entertainment/Casablanca Records. Jex said this about the new single, which was produced by Adria Garcia:

“I tried to capture the personal experience of not being able to sleep, because you’re thinking about someone. I’m not in love with this person, but at that time of night, it sometimes feels like you are. This person is just on your mind.”

“2AM” is out on all digital services right now. More music from Jex will arrive in the future.

Since 2009, MP3s and NPCs owner Terrance Pryor has written about music, conventions, cosplay, and video games for publications such as AXS, Examiner, Fake Walls, and Ranker. Based out of Los Angeles, the former rock concert promoter/radio host can be seen talking about rock music on AXS TV’s Music’s Greatest Mysteries and discussing music and whatever else on their Black Man Talks Rock channel on YouTube.
