Newly announced 5v5 hero shooter FragPunk will launch its closed alpha test later this month.

Announced on Tuesday, the test will launch on June 27, and it’ll end on July 1. North American players can head here to register for the closed alpha test or request access via Steam.

A synopsis for FragPunk reads:

Welcome to a future where lancers, genetically enhanced heroes, face off against each other in a competition for the most valuable resource in the universe: Glunite. Any good lancer knows that the rules of engagement can change on a dime thanks to powerful tools known as shard cards, and only the players that constantly adapt will emerge victorious. The wide variety of shard cards in FragPunk can be played at the start of every round, impacting the very rules by which the game is played. Players will encounter frozen floors, exploding bullets, cloning technology, digital footprint tracking and so much more.

A description of the closed alpha test reads:

FragPunk's Closed Alpha Test will feature 70 of shard cards with varied rule bending powers, 10 playable heroes with unique abilities, 4 playable maps and 15 usable weapons, some of which feature unique abilities! Apart from that, a multitude of in-game rewards have been prepared for players to discover and enjoy during the first closed alpha test.

FragPunk will be released in 2025 on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
