Five San Diego Comic-Con 2022 afterparties to check out

After walking around all day at San Diego Comic-Con, attendees want to hang out with their friends for a night on the town. Fortunately, a slew of SDCC afterparties is available for those looking to keep the celebration going throughout the night. These are the five best afterparties worth checking out after the convention, which takes place at the San Diego Convention Center from July 21 through July 24 with a preview night on July 20.

Wednesday, July 20

Ready Party One: Love and Thunder, SDCC Kick Off Party!
When: 8 p.m. - 2 a.m.
Where: Parq Nightclub (615 Broadway, San Diego, CA)

Experience Level Entertainment (XLE) will deliver one of the biggest parties in San Diego with their Ready Party One: Love and Thunder, SDCC Kick Off Party! The Flux Capacitors, who will be delivering the best hits from the '80s, will be joined by special guests Jason Paige (performing the Pokemon theme song), Diff'rent Strokes’ Danny Cooksey, Star Trek Prodigy's Bonnie Gordon, and Farscape's Gigi Edgely. Attendees can also gain free airbrush tattoos from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.

BNNY RBBT will deliver a mesmerizing SDCC afterparty on Thursday. Where is it exactly? Well, no one knows, but details about the party will be released that morning.

Friday, July 22
SDCC BURTON BASH: A Party For The Recently Deceased

Where: Sugar Factory American (San Diego, 701 Fifth Avenue, San Diego)

XLE will give a toast to the dead with The Burton Bash, A Party for the Recently Deceased. Inspired by Tim Burton films, this party will feature string quartet performances of iconic music from Burton titles, a cosplay contest, and DJ Elliot spinning throughout the event.

Saturday, July 23

Where: The Werewolf (627 Fourth Avenue San Diego, CA)
Free to enter (All ages until 9 p.m., 21+ over starting at 9 p.m.)

The Los Angeles Ghostbusters cosplay group will head to San Diego to help raise money for the Starlight Children's Foundation. The CrossRip will feature special guests such as Yes Have Some Podcast helping to raise money through various auctions, which can be found here. HEAVY METAL Presents MATT STEFFANINA | COMIC CON San Diego Yacht Party

iBoatNYC will deliver the Heavy Metal yacht party, which will feature performances from Matt Steffanina and Doll Machine. Since 1977, Heavy Metal magazine has spawned animated films, video games, and a podcast network.
