Five great announcements from the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase

Yesterday, the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase revealed a slew of games coming to the Nintendo Switch throughout 2024. As expected, there’s something for everyone, and some of these releases were quick surprising to fans. These are five standout releases worth checking out when they drop. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

Originally released on the Wii in 2010, Epic Mickey is getting a fresh coat of paint with Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. The enhanced remake, which is being developed by Purple Lamp (Sea of Thieves), will come with updated graphics and some new moves for Mickey to use. The title is slated to be released later this year.

Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection

Early games in the Star Wars: Battlefront franchise will make a comeback thanks to the Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection. This collection will include 2004's Star Wars: Battlefront and its 2005 sequel Star Wars: Battlefront II. Both games will feature local multiplayer matches and the ability to duke it out in online battles with up to 64 people. The collection will drop on March 14; pre-orders are live right now here. Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an updated version of 2021's Nintendo Switch exclusive Shin Megami Tensei V. This version features a brand-new storyline and the addition of new demons. The game will be released on June 21. Aside from the Nintendo Switch, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Gundam Breaker 4

Mobile Suit Gundam will have its Nintendo Switch debut with Gundam Breaker 4. The fourth entry in the Gundam Breaker series offers more customization tools than before to create the ideal Gundam. After creating your Gundam, take them into the battlefield via a slew of missions. Gundam Breaker 4 will be released later this year.

Contra: Operation Galuga

The original Contra game that started it all gets some new bells and whistles with Contra: Operation Galuga. Developed by WayForward, Operation Galuga is a reimagining of the game with new stages, bosses, enemies, and new play mechanics. A demo is available for the Nintendo Switch right now. The game is slated for a March 12 release; pre-orders are live right now here. All pre-orders come with a 10% discount.
