Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete coming to U.S. theaters in February

Square Enix and Fathom Events are joining forces to bring a beloved Final Fantasy film to U.S. theaters next month.

Announced today, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete will make its way to the region for the first time on February 21 (dubbed version) and February 22 (subbed version). Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete features an additional 26 minutes of footage in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, which was originally released in 2005. A synopsis for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete reads:

Continuing the storyline based on the hit PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, two years have passed since the ruins of Midgar stand as a testament to the sacrifices made in order to bring peace. However, the world will soon face a new menace. A mysterious illness is spreading fast. Old enemies are astir. And Cloud, who walked away from the life of a hero to live in solitude, must step forward yet again…

The theatrical release comes a week before the launch of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PlayStation 5 on February 29. The game is the second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy. Pre-orders for the title can be made here.
