Experimental artist Kyle Bates a.k.a. Drowse has unveiled their new single “Mystery Pt. 2” today.

The single, which can be heard below, is the second single from Drowse’s forthcoming album Wane into It, which will be released on November 11 via The Flenser.

Bates said this about the new song, which is out on digital services right now:

"Change and apprehension. Allowing negative segments of the past to scatter as ashes in the air. How much space is too much space for the self-isolationist? 'Mystery Pt. 2' re-examines themes from my previous album, Light Mirror. A sequel? It’s one of the most direct songs I’ve ever written, though listen closely and you’ll hear field recorded snippets of my life, organs, Moog synthesizer, Mellotron, distant sheets of metal vibrating, hidden voices—always a world beneath a world."

Pre-orders for Wane Into It can be made here. The record will be the follow-up to Drowser’s 2019 studio album Light Mirror.

On November 27, Drowse will hold a record release show at The Echo with special guests Sprain, Urns and Argyles, and Cold Gawd. Tickets for the all-ages show are on sale to the general public here.
