English dub cast for Tomo-chan Is a Girl! announced

The English dub cast for Tomo-chan Is a Girl! has been revealed today.

The cast will feature Ricco Fajardo (Black Clover; My Hero Academia) as Junichiro Kubota, Jād Saxton (Fairy Tail; Fruits Basket (2019)) as Misuzu Gundo, Christopher Llewyn Ramirez (Horimiya; Radiant) as Tatsumi Tanabe, and Ciarán Strange (Aoashi; Borderlands 3) as Kosuke Misaki.

Japanese voice talent for the show include Rie Takahashi (Laid-Back Camp; Fate/Grand Order) as Tomo Aizawa, Kaito Ishikawa (One Punch Man; My Hero Academia) as Junichiro Kubota, Rina Hidaka (Komi Can’t Communicate; Kaguya-sama: Love is War) as Misuzu Gundo, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba; TRIGUN STAMPEDE) as Tatsumi Tanabe, and Kohei Amasaki (My Hero Academia; Hi Score Girl) as Kosuke Misaki.

At Anime Expo 2022, Lexi Nieto (Takt Op. Destiny; One Piece Film Red) was revealed as Tomo Aizawa and Sally Amaki (22/7 (nanabun no nijyuuni); Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) was announced as Carol Olston. This will be the first time Crunchyroll will use the same voice talent for both English and Japanese anime dubs with Amaki as Olston. Subbed and dubbed trailers can be seen below.

A synopsis for Tomo-chan Is a Girl! reads:


Tomboy Tomo couldn’t have picked a more awkward high school crush ’cause it’s on her childhood friend, Junichiro, but he only sees her as one of the guys. Despite her pretty looks and signals, nothing gets through to this meathead! Will Junichiro ever realize Tomo’s into him and see her for the cutesy girl she actually is?!

Tomo-chan Is a Girl! will debut on Crunchyroll on Wednesday, January 4 at 10:00 a.m. PST.
