Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble will get a blast from the past in its SEGA Pass DLC pack.

Revealed today, Axel from Sega’s popular driving title Crazy Taxi will be a playable character in the game. Exclusively for Axel, bananas in the game will turn into coins as a homage to their respective game. The Sega Pass includes previously announced guest characters Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy from Sonic The Hedgehog as well as 15 bonus SEGA-themed character customization items. One more character will be announced for Sega Pass before the game’s launch. An Axel reveal trailer can be seen below.

Pre-orders for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, which arrives exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on June 25, can be made here. The deluxe edition of the game includes the Sega Pass. The pass will also be available as a separate purchase, and players will have an additional option of purchasing each DLC character separately.
