City builder Goblins of Elderstone exits Steam Early Access this week

City builder Goblins of Elderstone will leave Steam Early Access this week.

The title, which has been in development for six years via New Zealand developers Outerdawn, will make its exit on March 8 as version 1.0.

Gustav Seymore, Studio Director for Outerdawn said this about the title being officially released on PC:

“Goblins of Elderstone is a labour of love; we’ve poured our hearts and souls into its development and we are so excited to see the game’s full release. Not just for us, but for our loyal players. Our Goblin tribe community has been an integral part of our development process and we’re so thankful to them for their support, please go and enjoy version 1.0, it’s everything we could have hoped for!”

A synopsis for the game reads:

Turn your fledgling tribe from a small village into an empire! In this unique take on the city building genre, you must focus not only on gathering resources to build structures and the economy of your village, but also on crafting the religion and culture of its inhabitants and making sure their increasing needs are met. Nurturing tribal dynamics is key: if you treat your goblins well, they will (mostly) listen to you, but fail to keep them happy, and they will riot, steal and kill each other and even burn down the village. Additionally, relations with neighboring tribes, wintery undead, adventuring heroes and even the gods require a steady and diplomatic hand. Your wits and skill in dealing with your goblins as well as the ability to barter, bribe, and occasionally pillage your way to a wealthy tribe will spell success in Goblins of Elderstone!
