Today, R&B stars Chloe x Halle will go head-to-head in a video game battle.

The sisters will face each other in the LG OLED Ultimate Gaming Showdown, which will also feature Evil Geniuses’ Lisa Wallen and Aruuu as their coaches.

LG Senior Vice President of Marketing Peggy Ang said this about the forthcoming stream:

“Gaming continues its meteoric rise in popularity and a large part of that growth is among women. We are excited to partner with the multi-talented Chloe and Halle to advance women in gaming and highlight the power of LG OLED TVs to deliver the ultimate gaming experience.”

Chloe said this about their involvement:

"We want to encourage women to get involved, learn more, support and take over gaming!"

Halle also said:

"We’re excited to partner with LG on this fun program, and know that our fans are as excited as we are to be totally immersed.”

This celebrity battle follows LG’s recent showdown between DJ Khaled and Megan Fox, which attracted one million viewers. Chloe x Halle’s 90-minute battle will begin at 7:30 p.m. EST/4:30 p.m. on Evil Geniuses’ Twitch channel.

Chloe x Halle recent studio album was 2020’s Ungodly Hour, which earned Grammy nominations for Best Progressive R&B Album, Best R&B Song (“Do It”), and Best Traditional R&B Performance ("Wonder What She Thinks of Me"). Outside of music, the sisters can be seen on Freeform sitcom Grown-ish, which is a spin-off of ABC’s Black-ish. Halle will soon be seen as Princess Ariel in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, which will be released on May 26, 2023.
