Oklahoma City noise rock band Chat Pile have dropped two songs from the forthcoming Tenkiller movie soundtrack today.

“Tenkiller” and “Lake Time (Mr. Rodan)" are available for your listening pleasure below, and they’re available on digital services right now. Chat Pile scored the film back in 2020. The 17-song soundtrack can be pre-ordered here.

Chat Pile said this about their involvement with the film, which arrives on digital platforms this Friday:

“The music Chat Pile made for Tenkiller is quite a bit different than what you may come to expect. We were given the freedom to really experiment and explore territory that we’ve never done before.

It’s not going to be for everyone, but we hope some of you connect with what we set out to do.

We wrote, performed and recorded the score all the way back in the winter of 2020 prior to writing and recording “God’s Country”

Watch the movie, featuring a prominent role by Chat Pile’s very own Raygun Busch, online this Friday!

Thanks to Jeremy and Kara Choate for reaching out and giving us the opportunity to participate in their vision. We really appreciate it!”

A synopsis for the Jeremy and Kara Choate-directed film reads:

One year after the tragic death of his best friend, an eighteen-year-old machinist struggles with the split of his parents and the violent way of life surrounding him.

Chat Pile recently announced their involvement with next year’s Roadburn Festival, which takes place in next April in The Netherlands.
