Brooklyn indie punk band Washer have unveiled their new single “Not Like You” today.

The song comes with an official visualizer created by the band, which can be seen below. Vocalist Mike Quigley said this about the new song and forthcoming album Improved Means To Deteriorated Ends:

“The album is, in many ways, me venting frustrations around the drive to make things and the idea that we choose what has meaning in our lives. We have the capacity to change what’s wrong. We try, maybe, and some things progress. But it’s not helping. We don’t know how to process grief, or we’re following tangents instead of the root problems. 'Not Like You' is sort of a reflection on making changes in your life, from the viewpoint of the part of you that is reluctant to change. That part has expectations of failure and is afraid of what will come, and so there can be this real anger directed at the positive shit in your life. Brains are dumb."

Improved Means To Deteriorated Ends is slated for an April 28 release on Exploding In Sound. Pre-orders for the album, which follows their 2017 studio album All Aboard, can be made here.

Washer have also announced a mini-trek across the Northeast with Paper Bee running from May 4 through May 7. Tour dates can be seen below. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.
