Industrial/drone artist Tristan Shone b.k.a. Author & Punisher delivered an unexpected cover.

The artist released their take of Rosalía’s “Motomami,” which can be heard below. The song is the title track of Rosalía’s 2022 Grammy-winning album.

Shone said this about covering the song, which is out on digital services right now:

“‘Motomami‘ is a such a contagious album and the title track is heavy as hell. I was hearing this track and seeing Rosalía posters on an EU tour and it got into my head…I just had this feeling it could translate to something slow/heavy and industrial. There was a live set on Youtube where she started with some drone sequence and the whole performance was dark, melancholic, beautiful and fun as hell.”
