Australian experimental artist Uboa signs to The Flenser

The Flenser has added another artist to their roster.

Announced yesterday, Australian experimental artist Uboa has joined the label’s roster. Since 2010, the artist, whose real name is Xandra Metcalfe, has unveiled a string of studio albums ranging from doom metal to harsh noise.

The Flenser will release Uboa’s 2019 studio album The Origin of My Depression on vinyl for the first time on April 28. The vinyl release was remastered by James Plotkin, who is best known for their work with Khanate and OLD. The vinyl is the last release in The Flenser's Membership Series Four catalog. Uboa’s last release was a 2022 split with vi a. titled Dead Time's Broken Arrow. More music from the artist will arrive later this year.
