This weekend, Anime Expo will take over the Los Angeles Convention Center for four days with all things anime. As expected, panels have been a major highlight for the convention with various announcements and premieres going down. We look through the massive list of panels to pick out five that should be on your radar this weekend.

July 4th

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: More Than Card Games on Motorcycles

Debuting in 2008, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's changed things up with the usual Yu-Gi-Oh! gameplay with combatants dueling on motorcycles. Fans of the series can join the discussion of why this series deserves more attention from the Yu-Gi-Oh! fanbase. If you wanna brush up on the show before hitting the panel, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D is available on various streaming platforms right now (including the official Yu-Gi-Oh! website).

Studio Bones New Anime Project with Kodansha

For 25 years, Studio Bones has delivered a plethora of astonishing anime series, including Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, and Ouran High School Host Club. At Anime Expo, the studio will deliver a new anime project alongside Kodansha.

July 5th

BOCCHI THE ROCK! Panel with Director Keiichiro Saito and Yoshino Aoyama

Bocchi The Rock! became one of 2022's most beloved anime series that led to an increase in guitar sales in Japan. This special panel will feature the anime director Keiichirō Saitō and Hitori Gotoh’s voice actress Yoshino Aoyama joining forces to showcase some behind-the-scenes stuff about the show. Crunchyroll recently announced plans to release a two-part compilation film in North America.

July 6th

KING RECORDS Official Industry Panel

KING RECORDS will showcase their forthcoming projects during this special panel featuring Haruki Ishiya, and Yukihiro Nozuyama from multimedia project Hypnosismic -Division Rap Battle- as well as singer Sumire Uesaka, who has been on the KING RECORDS label since 2013. Attendees will be able to join a Q&A session immediately after their presentation.

July 7th

Fashion Show

The official Anime Expo fashion show goes down on Sunday, and fashion brands BORO BORO, Dear Vanilla, H.Naoto, Hiroko Tokumine, and Wa-Miyabi will be unveiling their incredible wardrobe.
