Dignitas' all-women's Valorant tournament to arrive this June on Twitch

Today, Dignitas has revealed a special all-women’s Valorant tournament set for this June.

The Verizon VCT Game Changers NA tournament, which will be produced and administered by Nerd Street Gamers, will feature some of the best female Valorant teams in the country competing for their share of a $50,000 prize pool. Amateur and professional teams will compete in the open qualifier, which will take place on June 19 and June 19. The top teams will compete for right to be champion from June 24 through June 27. Teams looking to join the action can register for qualifiers here. Applications will close on June 12 or when all 32 team slots are filled. Competitors must be verified members of the all-women Valorant Discord server Galorants.

Dignitas VP of Talent Heather Garozzo said this about the event:

“There’s something truly special about the trajectory of Women’s VALORANT and I’m honored we at Dignitas can help contribute to its impressive growth. Never in my 20 years in esports have I seen so many women that are eager to train, to compete and to be the best in the World. Moreover, I’m thrilled by the outreach from brands eager to support women gamers and esports. Dignitas is committed to providing educational, social and competitive opportunities for women in the esports space and we’re honored to do our part in developing the ecosystem for VALORANT women in collaboration with our partners Twitch, Riot Games and Nerd Street Gamers.”

Nerd Street Gamers founder/CEO John Fazio said this:

“Having some of the most powerful brands in our industry, from Twitch to Dignitas, Verizon, and Riot Games, come together to build this tournament showcases the changing tides in esports, and how committed we all are to fostering a more inclusive, competitive environment for women. Nerd Street is honored to be a part of Verizon VCT Game Changers NA, presented by Dignitas and contribute towards positive change.”

The entire tournament will go down on Dignitas’ Twitch channel. Select Valorant streamers, including starsmitten, artStar Herculsye and sapphiRe, will co-stream the event on their own Twitch channels, and they’ll be giving away prizes to viewers.
